Brighton has seven vans ready to go to pick up children at Folsom Public Schools. All of our drivers do an additional van training program before heading out on their own. We are allowed to pick up the kindergarten and first graders right from the classrooms at most schools, and will find our drivers in the bus zone with doors open and a friendly smile ready to welcome those students 2nd-6th. All of our drivers are CPR and first aid trained and are equipped with a direct connect phone to ensure all children are present and accounted for.
Transportation is a valued perk of our program but it also comes with significant rules for children. At all times children must stay safe in the van by following the rules set forth. Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat. Children who are 8 years of age OR have reached 4’9” in height may be secured by a booster seat, but at a minimum must be secured by a safety belt. (California Vehicle Code Section 27363.)
